CDA Competitive Team is well rounded in many different styles of dance.
CDA Comp Team is known for its high level of achivement & amazing results.

Teachers may assess the student and place them in a category based on their ability rather than age.
Students are chosen for the Competitive Team based on their commitment and ability as demonstrated in the audition.
Auditions start after March Break and continue up until the end of September.
At this point all teams will be finalized.
CDA's 2012 Gala will be at NEWMARKET THEATRE Saturday, February 18, 2012! Tickets will included a wine and cheese catered reception before the show!
Tickets are $35 and are available through the Newmarket Theatre Box Office.
Jordan Clark, winner of
SYTYCD Canada Season 4 recently visited CDA for a surprise workshop!
The students were inspired by Jordan's story of hard work and perserverance, and learned
lots from her amazing contempoaray choreography.
CDA's 2011 Intensive Competitive Camp was a great week for our competitive team to train and bond for the 2012 season. The two weeks featured multiple guest choreorgraphers including workshops from Jesse Weafer and Joey Arrigo from So You Think You Can Dance Canada. The students learned a lot from their instruction and were inspired by thier stories.
Also during the camps there were workshops from Karissa Lee from the Toronto Raptors Dance Pack, and professional choroegrapher Marjoire Celis.

CDA's competition season began at the Starcatchers event at the Richmond Hill Performance Arts Theatre. The team won scored very well and won numerous special awards. For some it was their first experience at competition and they all performed wonderfully.
The 2011 CDA Competitive Gala was was held at the Newmarket Theatre for the first time. The event showcased all of CDA's competitive routines that will be featured this competition season. Also, there was a special performance from SYTYCD Canada cast member Jesse Weafer! This fully catered event was enjoyed by all. WELL DONE CDA competitive team members 2010-11!
